Columbo And The Murder Of A Rock Star

This episode has a potential but it fails because of the most stupid final clue in the whole series ever
- for many years I didn't know that Dabney Coleman is the same guy that played policeman in Double Shock years before
- he found gardener uniform quite fast :)
- I think one of the rare episodes when murder is not shown itself
- after filling in the champagne bottle, in next shot it still looks empty
- how did he manage to use the gardener's car? where did he take the keys from?
- the female police officer is the same actress as in Murder in Malibu - the lover of Wayne Jennings
- once again - I like this George, police doctor, he always has a funny face expression :)
- this speech in the court annoys me "not once, not twice, not three times, not four times, not seven times, not nine times"...
- when Columbo gives a news to Creighton, he says she was murdered "yesterday". So if they lived together, why they didn't spend night together?
- I don't understand the thing with gardener's truck. Why was it found two blocks away? Was Creighton so stupid to leave the car in wrong street?
- this speeding ticket.. It is the worst final clue ever. Ok, the secretaty says "you used me, you gave me some task" or something to that effect. But how should have she knew?? did he make her to receive the ticket? and exactly at this hour? all of it makes no sense. Not to mention that it would be quite impossible to drive a car with a mask that makes you blind.. A good episode but this final clue places it among the worst ones for me..

Re: Columbo And The Murder Of A Rock Star

Is it possible the mask could have had tiny pinholes in it for seeing through it?

Re: Columbo And The Murder Of A Rock Star

She only had to put it on for the seconds it took to run the.light.
