Re: Telling Off Columbo

I've always enjoyed Lloyd Bochner as Mazoor Berozski in "Most Dangerous Match" as he literally pushes Columbo around while yelling at him, "Tell me something, why are you here? You are homicide detective. Nobody has died here. So why don't you go home? Go home, what do you care about garlic? About shirts?" Cracks me up every time.

Re: Telling Off Columbo

In Columbo Goes to College Jordan Rowe consistently lets Columbo have it. He says at one point "it's obvious you don't know which end is up. That's not an insult its a statement of fact"

Then later on he very sternly reminds Columbo that this is the 2nd time we ve met.

Oh and Mrs Rowe too indirectly tells Columbo off. By saying that the police department assigned this "wrinkled little dumbbell" to find Professor rusks killer.

Re: Telling Off Columbo

Audrey also SCARES him with that "My mind or my body?" line. Even though no one hears it, he looks practically horrified by that question.

Re: Telling Off Columbo

I know I'm biased about this character, but Leslie Williams has a great one -

"You know, you're actually likeable in a shabby sort of way."

Re: Telling Off Columbo

Although that he did not tell him off per say, Paul Galesko certainly was very vocal about a lot of things in his murder case.

Re: Telling Off Columbo

The one he gives the most reason to blow up at him might be Beth Chadwick, since of course she's already been cleared. Instead, she's pretty restrained. (Maybe it's that "classiness" that he mentions in the final scene.)
