Death hits the jackpot ending question

I've been wondering something about this ending: Columbo calls Nancy there after showing Lamarr the proof of his guilt telling her he needs her cooperation, then after telling her she would inherit the 24 mil dollars, it's Lamarr instead who reveals columbo that Nancy was in in the murder as an accomplice; what I don't understand is, Columbo already seemed to have solid evidence against Lamarr after they were done talking, it doesn't look like he needed Nancy's help to convict him, do you think the purpose of having the 2 meet in the end was to turn Lamarr against her and get a sort of admittance from him that she was involved as well, since it's very clear Columbo suspected her as well in the earlier scene?
