Traditionally, some comments from me after watching :)

1. What is Murcheson drinking? Valley Tavern? :P sounds good! And the color is perfect :P How can a g** like this work in the place like this when precision is needed? Always a puzzle
2. Very often when I was watching this episode I didn't follow all this plot with Shirley, Karl, David Lang etc. Now after years I think I get it but there is one sentence I don't catch exactly. Maybe my english is not good enough? It is when Shirley talks with Viveca, and tell her about some mysterious Mr Smith who wants to sell formula. She says “Mr Lang wanted to trick him. Mr Smith rubbed the formula on woman's skin, and when Mr Smith was gone, Mr Lang tried to take scrapings from her cheek to analyze. But there wasn't any left because whatever there was, I got”. How is that possible that Lang wanter to take scrapings and didn't notice that Shirley took everything from the woman's face? Or am I wrong with that? And how the heck Shirley is in the posession of that cream – what she holds in her hand it quite a big portion of that cream... so how did she get this amount? Any ideas? :)
3. Actually the moment of “testing” the formula on some old lady (who was she by the way?? where are they? What is the place in which they are having this conversation?). No matter how hard I try – I never notice any wrinkles disappearing :P
4. Cleaning her fingerprints just after the murder is kind of lousy :P Always funny. She must have lest fingerprints all over the place
5. Now I found completely new thing to rethink! I am shocked that I never thought about that before. But I realised that there are not much episodes (this one included) where Columbo DOESN'T visit the murderer's house/villa. I was thinking that maybe this is the very first episode like that. But I guess not: I am not so sure about Short Fuse. I think Colmbo never visited Rodger. I can't even think of his living place now... Then Blueprint for Murder – did Columbo visit Markham? There is some house that he is inside, but I think that belongs to Bo and his new wife. The Most Crucial Game – I don't recall Columbo visiting Paul Hanlon, Dagger Of The Mind – the buttler, Tanner, visits them, but not Columbo. Most ****erous Match – Columbo doesn't visit Emmet, and Double Shock, we don't even know when the twins live
6. Columbo is looking for salt for his egg and says “I usually carry a shaker in my pocket”. How many things Columbo carries in his pockets? :D
7. I've never got response from anyone here about this: this travel agent that comes when Columbo is on the crime scene (explaining that Karl has ordered some expensive trips), this is the same actor as travel agent on The Most Crucial Game. Do you think it's supposed to be the same g**? Or just total coincidence with the same actor?
8. Peter Falk is a great, great actor, but whenever he coughs or sneezes, it looks very unnatural to me
9. Maybe I understand something wrong here, but always strange to me: the g** (pla*** by Bruce Kirby, lab-worker, janitor) says he needs to destroy everything – all evidences, papers etc. And then he has no problem with giving Columbo one of the jars.. so his job is not well done :P
10. It's a “slight” exaggeration Columbo answering the ringing phone in David Lang's office.
11. I have an irresistible feeling that in most cases the second murder is not properly investigated, I mean it is kind of neglected. For instance here – ok, we know that Shirley was murdered but Columbo actually does nothing about it. He only mentions it once. Up until this episode – the same was with Miss La Sanka, Tracy O'Connor, Tanner, Harry Alexander, Lisa Chambers. I mean, I always feel so sorry for them. I know second murder is always on the second half of episode so there is not so much time, but I always have a s***** feeling that Lieutenant doesn't devote enough time for them. Not as much a they deserved
12. I like the Dora secretary :)
13. Kind of irresponsible from Viveca's side: she already knows very well that it is very likely that Columbo after leaving the room will come back again for “one more thing”. She experienced that a lot in this episode. And she still, just after his leaving, takes a glove off, shows sher skin, opens a safe, and takes out the red container. Quite risky. And as I recall, this happens with a lot of other murderers in Columbo and that always bothers me a little
