I always get a laugh out of the scene in Columbo Goes to College when he's interviewing Dominic Doyle. Columbo says that he's from homicide and Doyle replies "I haven't done one of them lately you know?"

You know Grant, I must have heard that missing persons line at least two dozen times and the joke never occurred to me. Who-o-o-sh! :smile:

FORGOTTEN LADY

Sgt. Lefkowitz: "You know, Lieutenant, I'm in the homicide office at least once a week. I don't think I've ever seen you there."

Columbo: "Well, I don't get down there too much. None of the murders take place there, you know."

It took me forever too.

The actor Sandy Kenyon and that look he gives make it even funnier than it would be without him.

Grants post made me realize that we could have a whole thread on Columbo's car just by itself. For instance, in A Friend in Deed. when he goes to see Charlie Shoop that interaction is hilarious. Shoop wants to know if there's 20 or 30,000 miles on the car. And then at the end of the conversation, he said that he would give him $200 for it in a trade. Hilarious stuff
