And Cass, different robots, but Robby the Robot appeared in many sci-fi films and television shows over the years. Interestingly, he debuted in Forbidden Planet(1956) which starred Anne Francis and Leslie Neilson, both of whom later played on Columbo. BTW Forbidden Planet is basically a remake of Shakepeares The Tempest.

and yeah i knew about robbie the robot from forbidden planet..tcm has a short about the movie that they run form time to time...and the tempest is my second favourite shakespeare play.
