Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Re: Bobby Linn is signing for ......

I thought he would have went to another 2nd Div team. He`s been poor for us but certainly better than Balingry Rovers. All the best Bobby.

Re: Bobby Linn is signing for ......

Has Bobby actually signed for Baillingry or has the Courier just been reading some of the rumours on AFTN and reported them as fact?

Re: Bobby Linn is signing for ......

Don't all AFTN rumours become fact

Re: Bobby Linn is signing for ......

It is fact that he has signed for Ballingry. It is all about the money. Dave Baikie and Willie Gray pairing. I hear that they are offering around £175 at the lower end of the scale, and Bobby is at the higher end.

Re: Bobby Linn is signing for ......

Just like he was at the higher end when he sometimes played for us.

Re: Bobby Linn is signing for ......

Mad Man
I'm not too sorry to see him go but Bobby is a talented palyer who has just lost his way a bit. Sad that he's now going to be playing at a junior level when he is still capable of so much more. Maybe he just needs to recharge his batteries for a year and then he'll be back to Division 2 level at least.
get your own user name and I personally believe it is a very silly move by linn but end of the day he has chosen money over the jersey so don't let the door hit you on the way out !!!!

Re: Bobby Linn is signing for ......

Bobby is great. But he is also smart to know to sign-up for something for the money. Not wiser though. It's just a bit sad to see someone play for something less than his capable of doing.
