Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Re: Rangers Programme

Will the Trust be subsidising a future programme later in the season?

Re: Rangers Programme

I think we will be subsidising the Rangers away programme as otherwise by that time it will be a handwritten photocopy of the squads with cartoons of Ally and Charlie and Craig.

Nit that I am a king of finance but as I understand it the Trust doing the programme though volunteer effort has saved the club a significant amount of cash over the years. If by subsidising it yo mean give it cheaper to buyers would probably mean some one, probably the Trust itself incurring debt, which I dont think is justifeid.

Re: Rangers Programme

It's hard to believe that people are actually asking for a subsidised programme! Do they have no shame? 50p extra for a programme this week, which has a 12-page supplement, to cause so much hassle, justifies why people from elsewhere in Scotland AND England I work with, call Fifers tight!

Re: Rangers Programme

I think Mr NtOC will have understood my query as being entirely tounge-in-cheek.

Re: Rangers Programme

How was the programme then? 12 page celebration of 1953 league Cup win interesting read?

Re: Rangers Programme

Great read, first class, well worth the money. A big thanks to all responsible for producing it.

Re: Rangers Programme

Just had a chance to sit down and read this.

Absolutely fantastic stuff and a great read.
