This site, clearly a labor of love, is absolutely the best online resource I, as a total amateur, have come across in days of searching. I tried making my way through a digitized copy of Budge\'s \"First Steps in Egyptian\" (despite his detractors, and thanks for defending his scholarship, by the way) but I knew it was outdated, and the version I had access to didn\'t quite have what I needed, so I kept looking. This site has everything I could ask for, and more. Particularly helpful to me at this time was the list of names and their meanings. I am absolutely in awe of what you have created, here. The fact that you are sharing your work (and clearly, it is an immense amount of work) with the world for free is absolutely humbling. I cannot thank you enough.

I love this site! I have been researching Egyptology and everything egypt related since I was 7. I am autistic and that makes me really focus on some subjects, and Egyptology has always been my main focus. This website has very accurate information and it is very underrated for the amount of research that has been put into it. Basic awareness of the alphabet

For about 5 years, your site has been an absolutely invaluable planning resource for a pseudo-historical comic project in which, more or less, fantasy-Egypt expanded into fantasy-Europe and had an influence equivalent to real-world Rome. Whenever I need a god, a name, a bit of culture or slang, or an Egyptian calque of a Latin-derived word -- essentially anything with an etymology -- seshkemet is pretty much always my first stop before I hit the books for context. The project has been a mammoth undertaking, but you\'ve made it a lot easier. Cheers to you :smile:
