Great odds comparision to Powerball win
From Bleacher Reports ... ouch ... "You are not going to win the Powerball lottery. Somebody will, but that person will not be you. And that's OK. Because winning the $1.5 billion (and rising) payoff at stake right now is a one-in-292-million chance, and t...

First major FA signs. I'm not sure he increased his fantasy value. He should get a few more W because they have a better offense than the Nats but his K's already were dropping last year and switching from pitching to the SP to a DH isn't going to help him any.

Bryant Is Coming Up!
The baseball season REALLY begins tomorrow if Kris Bryant comes up. Reports are he will surpass Babe Ruth by the end of May.

Buxton and Sano
I saw Byron Buxton and Miguel Sano play for the first time last night. Buxton is a scrawny guy at 6-2 and 190. His strength seems to be his bat control and speed sort of like Dee Gordon. Sano is HUGE at 6-4 and 260. His strength is his power. And Sano is not the bigg...

Beastly AL Central
Since when did KC become a beast? I know they made the WS last year, but they did it as a wildcard that did not win 90 games in the regular season. Most of the team is batting close to .400. That obviously is not going to last but it will be interesting to see whe...

Scoring Adjustment
With CBS closing lineup changes well before the deadline and since I did get a phone call from Brian asking to put Crawford into his lineup 30 minutes before the deadline, it's only fair that I add Crawford's points to Giant Nation's point total for today. Not sure...

MLB rule change
I'm tired of seeing teams bring players, primarily RP, up and down every other day in April. They really need to expand the roster in April because the SP do not pitch deep in games yet and RP get burned out.

Trying Something New
I have decided to try my luck at DFS (Daily Fantasy Sports) at Draft Kings. I ran across an article at Fantasy Assembly (address below) and it sounded interesting. I set up an account, deposited $25 and entered 3 contests yesterday. There are so many different contes...

This kid is unbelievable. Did not get into baseball until very late and then it was in Mexico. Nats found him. Last year at age 25, he pitched 59 innings at 3 levels ending in AAA and gave up 2 runs both with 2 outs. He was 2 outs away from a perfect season. Lo...

League Chat
Does everybody have the league chat option on the right hand side of the live scoring page? I have only seen a couple of post so far and it's kinda lonely, so far. I liked it better last year when it was on the bottom of the page and didn't cover any of the sc...

Lineup problem
I have 6 starts scheduled for Sunday but I only want to use 1 of them. Don't have enough spots on my bench to sit all of the sp's that have 1 start and I don't want to use. I want to start Walker today, Wacha tomorrow and Felix on Sunday for my last three starts...

First Rainout
It didn't take long for the first game postponement of the season. Who would have thought there would be rainy and cold weather in Chicago during the first week in April?

Atlanta trade
Atlanta dumped a lot of bucks but is really throwing in the towel. I guess the taking Melvin was a hope that maybe it increases the chance Justin stays.

Bandwagon ...
So much for the Cubs are going to the playoffs this year bandwagon. One game only but having more errors than runs scored for the year is not a good start.

What do the Mets see in this guy? He has a career OPS of about 700 in both MLB and minors. He is 26 already and still has 1 pre-arb year left. Why buy out that year and 3 arb years for $23M? Oh and since he is from DR you need to take age with a grain of salt....

Bust vs Prospect
Funny that people already think of Harper as a huge bust, but think of Bryant as a monster prospect. Harper is actually 9 m0nths younger than Bryant. PS: don't get me wrong. I do think Bryant is good.

Problem with plan ...
Well I can see going hog wild over stashing TJS comeback players has a downside. I just gut my 6th player on the DL for our league's 5 spots and it isn't even opening day. Yikes!
